Step into the heart of our operations and see firsthand how we support Western Australians doing it tough. Our Customer Shopping Experience gives your team the chance to volunteer in our Community Shop, where customers can access essential groceries with dignity and choice.
You’ll help with tasks like restocking shelves, assisting customers with processing their shopping through the weigh station, packing groceries and keeping the shop running smoothly. It’s a rewarding, people-focused experience that connects you directly with the impact of your support.
What to expect
You’ll be on the shop floor, helping wherever needed; from greeting customers and packing bags to sorting stock and tidying displays. It’s a great way to build team spirit while making a real difference in the lives of others.

This opportunity is ideal for small groups, with bookings available from just 2 people.
Session availability
- Monday to Friday
- Monday, Thursday and Friday: Groups from 2 to 6
people - Tuesday and Wednesday: Groups from 2 to 4 people
Financial contribution
- $100.00 + GST per person

Terms and Conditions
Responsibilities Corporate Group: » Provide accurate booking details and contact information. » Ensure all participants meet safety requirements (e.g. enclosed footwear, appropriate clothing). » Notify Foodbank WA of any changes or cancellations in accordance with the policy below. Foodbank WA: » Deliver a safe, engaging and impactful volunteering experience. » Communicate clearly regarding booking confirmations, changes and cancellations. » Provide support for rescheduling, refunds or credits where applicable. Terms Booking confirmation » Bookings are confirmed once payment is received and a confirmation email is issued. » Payment must be made within 7 days of the booking or payment request, unless prior permission or exceptions have been sought. » Group sizes and activity types are subject to availability and may vary by location. Cancellations and changes » A minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required for cancellations or changes. » Cancellations within the 4-week window will incur a cancellation fee. » Rescheduling is permitted if requested at least 15 days prior to the scheduled date. Rescheduled sessions must be utilised in the same financial year as the original session. » No refunds will be issued for no-shows. Individual changes within a group » We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If a few team members are unable to attend due to illness or injury, this will not be considered a cancellation or change, provided the group still meets the minimum number required for the session. Please notify us as soon as possible so we can support your team and ensure a smooth experience. Cancellations by Foodbank WA If Foodbank WA cancels a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, the corporate group may choose one of the following: » Reschedule: Book a new date at no additional cost. » Refund: Receive a full refund. » Credit: Apply the payment as a voucher code for future use. Refunds and credits » Refunds will be processed via bank transfer or credit card. » Voucher codes are valid for one-time use and must match the original booking value. Safety and conduct » All volunteers must follow safety instructions provided during the briefing. » Foodbank WA reserves the right to refuse participation if safety requirements are not met. » Volunteers must treat staff, customers and other participants with respect.
