The Takeover Day Corporate Challenge makes a real difference in our community. Volunteers will takeover each aspect of Foodbank WA, joining the donation journey from the Warehouse where the stock comes in, the Community Kitchen where our donated food is given third life as nutritious and healthy meals, to the Shop Floor where team members will see the impact that Foodbank WA directly has.


What to expect on the day:

Community Kitchen team:  This team will work alongside our qualified chef Melissa to prepare, cook and pack healthy fresh and frozen meals that go out through our Perth and Regional branches and Mobile Foodbanks.

Warehouse team: Working in the warehouse, your team could be preparing pantry or other product packs, sorting fresh fruit and vegetables or packing hampers for our agency partners.

Shop Floor team: Step in to the heart of our operation for a rewarding, people-focused experience that connects you directly with the impact of your support. Helping with the Point of Sale Service, your team members will ensure our customers can access essential groceries with dignity and choice.

Shopping Experience: Finish off your day by experiencing firsthand what it is like for our customers with these real-life shopping scenarios.

The teams can reflect and share their learnings from their areas as a group while they enjoy provided lunch and morning tea, along with a presentation about the impact that we make in the community.

Enquiries An Enquiry does not confirm that an Event Date has been held and will be deemed as a Tentative/Placeholder Booking upon receipt of written confirmation. Tentative/Placeholder Booking A Tentative/Placeholder Booking will be deemed confirmed when the Terms and Conditions are signed and returned. A Tentative/Placeholder Booking can be held for 14 days. A deposit is required of $500 due and payable – 30 days from booking. Payment $500 – is due and payable within 30 days of booking. An invoice will be provided for payment, which is due within 7 days of your Event Date. 12 people = $1,650. Additional $110pp from 13 to 19 people. 20 people = $2,475. Additional $110pp from 21 to 30 people. All prices will incur GST. Confirming Final Numbers Minimum numbers for a Takeover Day: 12 people Maximum numbers for a Takeover Day: 30 people *Final numbers are required: 14 days prior to the Event Date Final attendee list with dietary requirements: 14 days prior to the Event Date *this will be deemed the minimum numbers for invoicing. If numbers drop within 14 days, invoicing will not be reduced. If numbers increase within 14 days of the Event Date, this will be charged accordingly. Cancellations Cancellations within 14 days of your Event Date will incur a 50% fee. Cancellations within 7 days of your Event Date will incur a 100% fee. If you need to book a new Event date, we will aim to confirm the new date within the financial year.
